Default ZF transmissions

Is BMW using the ZF transmissions in there diesels.They hardly stay together behind there gas engines.

Which ZF? They make many models. The Ecomats used in our buses hold up to the 1,100lb/ft torque of the Cummins ISM very well.

i got a zf auto in my tdi passat. broke the tq converter seals last year and puked tranny fluid all over my driveway. but i limpped it to the dealer where it was under warranty and got a brand new tranny.

My ZF 5HP-19 in my 525i,broke the front drive drum so I had no forward gears.For what they are and how much they are.They would hold up.
