f800 pickup
Hey guys Im in the process of building a 95 F800 Crew pickup it has 5.9 Cummins and an allison. How far can I safely build up the engine with this big of truck? It will only be towing about 10K give or take, and not every day. Pretty much just gonna be a big toy. Can I go as far as I would with a Dodge pickup with the same engine or go milder? Thanks

The trans most likely will be the limiting factor. If it's the AT545, you can only get to 230hp. The engine itself can make power just as it can in a Dodge. Swap in a better trans, at least an MT643, to put the power to the ground. Those can take a lot of power, much more than their actual rating.
Honest power to get, in my opinion is 450 or less. Towing twins, 3k GSK, nothing too radical. You may need to get the trans shift points raised, because they are set for 2800 max before shifting.
