IH 9400i vs Frtlnr Columbia
#11
Returned the "loaner" to Ryder, and tried to talk them into letting me keep it.
Service manger told me I wouldn't like it after a couple weeks. He said they have a lot of electrical problems. He also explained why the IH shifter is tighter. Something about the way the shifter "linkage pins" in the top of the trans for Frtlnr makes them sloppy after a short time. IH does it different.
OH well. I'm used to the Frtlnr, adjusted to it's shortfalls, and I guess I have to live with it until something changes.
It's been serviced, first time since 6-3, new drive tires, and I'm getting new shocks for it
