Imagine seeing it in the plant - once a month I go up and work in the plant this coker is in. If you think that is big, you should see the crane that lifted it!! (the crane is on railway tracks).

I have some more pics of some of the other Cokers

For some reason they wont post on this site. Heres the link:

When you look at the pics, open them up and make sure you click on "FULL SIZE" in the upper right hand corner. The pics are big and this will show you how big this thing really is.

Heres the company that hauls a lot of these BIG vessels :

http://www.premay.com/latest.html

"These Coker vessel loads were 38’ high, 34’ wide, 290’ long with the lead tractor unit and a gross weight of 1,800,000 lbs. Actual vessel weight was 940,000 lbs.

The trip to site was 800 km long and lasted 9 days. Obstacles en route ranged from days when it was too cold to move to days when warm weather caused pavement loading concerns and power lines to droop! With seven tractor units pulling and pushing up hills the Premay team moved these loads safely and without incident to our clients plant site. "

Ill have to work on it a bit....

It only takes 20 sets of axles to support that, it's not "that" heavy :

not too heavy? to size it up it is the same weight as 22.5 normal 80,000lb trucks running down the road we see everyday.
