That Werner Shaker was my baby, N NO, it didnt do 63MPH. It did 95, and loved it!

jasonfriedlin 05-03-2007 02:40 PM

That's a nice lookin '82. The guy I used to work for had an '83 Pete 359. That thing was awesome. I'm only 24, but I'm more in to the old school truckin. I guess we r the only two trashy truck drivers here. I'm gonna try to get us some more

DazedandConfused 05-03-2007 03:56 PM

about 480 feet long, hauling 300,000 of product....i don't know the gross vehicle weight of product plus the weight of the truck and trailer as it's calculated in the U.S. (ie: a rig grossing out at 80,000 total)

The road train pictured, used to transport zinc-

lead concentrate from MIM's McArthur River mine

near Boroloola to the mine's export port at Bing Bong on the

eastern gulf coast of the Northern Territory is the largest

registered road train in Australia.

The road train is designed to haul 150 tonnes of concentrate, is

160 m long and takes nerves of steel to overtake!

The trucks were Pacific with a 600 Cummins and a 5 speed Alison top speed was 34 mph and truck empty was 242,000..loaded was 448,000 lbs...truck had 2 drivers and 2 tag axles and the trailer had 4 axles with another 2 tag axles...tires were 24.5 and hard to find
