DazedandConfused 06-12-2007 03:42 PM

It is a 94 Ford Aeromax LTA9000

Only has a 350 cat in it, so kinda gutless....:booo:

DazedandConfused 06-12-2007 05:49 PM

My uncle had a sharp LT9000 that ended up over turned when his dump trailer door hung. Sharpest Ford I had ever seen.

Oh hell, you can fix that.:w2:

Anybody else got any. MRaynor is supposed to be gettin pictures of the trucks at K&L in Florence for us. This is probably gonna be my last big truck, think I'm gonna give it up in October.

PLEASE tell me how!! It is a 3176 which I am told that there isn't much you can do to turn them up....:booo:

jasonfriedlin 06-12-2007 11:35 PM

Really, that sucks, I figured there would be something. you talked to any old-school mechanics?

rolloffhill 06-12-2007 11:42 PM

I have talked to the Cat shop, I have asked on multiple forums and nobody has any good news for me.

They are electronically controlled so no turning up the pump. I thought about a bigger charger, but unless I can feed it more fuel, that is a waste.

I am open to any ideas, hell I'd love to get it to at least 400hp...:sen:

Mr. Miyagi 06-13-2007 02:44 AM

Get me the engine serial number pretty please. We'll start there.

rolloffhill 06-13-2007 07:49 AM

I"ll work on that and get back witcha. I can't remember off the top of my head what S/N range it was.

jasonfriedlin 06-13-2007 11:01 PM

Yeah, there's got to be something can be done with it. I know all the big trucks I've ever driven can be turned up, not sure about these 550 Cats though. I think they are probably about maxxed out. Radioflyer, i like your sig, that's pretty good.

I'll try to get a few pics of our heavy haul trucks. We have a '98 Pete with one of the Cat experimental 600's, engine serial number 3, (never did find out if this is the one they used) and a 2007 Kenworth with a 625 Cat, both 4 axle rigs, and I haven't run them under 150,000 lbs yet.

Totally made him post the wedding pic... I figured that if I climbed my butt up in that thing in a fluffy wedding dress and didn't make an absolute mess of myself, then I deserved to have my pic up there with his big trucks...

Not that I EVER have a problem with taking a little ride in a fire truck...

jasonfriedlin 08-20-2007 03:53 PM

The fire trucks are a nice addition.:U:

CarbonFootprint, we'll look out for ya if you look out for us. I'll be the one runnin along at a high rate of fuel consumption.

I resemble that remark.....

I can't mis ya'll, especially when Swift tries to pass a JB on 40 going into Nashville. The back up can stretch to Memphis.

Is that the load on your back now?

nevrenufhp 08-21-2007 10:26 PM

I would post pix, but it wont let me. I drive a 94 IH 4900 bucket(boom/ platform) truck that has a #0 plate fom my old Dodge 12 valve, 2 clicks tighter on the gov springs, and a little advanced timing. Then, the new truck that came in a few months ago went to me, so I've been driving that one more. That one is an 06 IH 7400 with a 300hp 466. It hauls 2 steel cable reels up to 15k pounds each, a 2200 ft winch, 54k GVWR, and a CD player.
