As a matter of fact, when they hit a heard or even a couple cows, they don't even feel it in the cab. Something like when a mosquito hits the widshield is what it's like.

No you feel it ,, trust me the hoghead is all buggard up now nitwits like that don't need to drive at all a 9,000 ton train at 40 mph takes 2 miles to stop even when the emergincy brakes are apllied think about when you want to try to beat a train

Ouch. The only way I can think of that he might not have been able to see is if there were cars parked on a side track blocking his view. Either way it would have been better to sit where he was rather than try to beat it. That is a losing battle from the get go.
