I tested two guys yesterday for their CDLs....failed them both on the walk around. I told them to study, they didn't believe me. Oh well they'll get a free retake today at 5pm.

Anyways, afterwards I took the Reo out for a quick spin...I'm out of practice.

My dad has been a third party tester for a number of years. I got certified earlier this year and have been testing people since April.

I had a 5X4 in an White COE, put some apehanger sticks on it (almost hit the roof) I could stir the boxes with one hand. That was WAY before cell phones, or most of the distractions we deal with now. Low end was slower than snail snot, top end was well into triple digits. Had the AC unit on top the cab, and a 36" sleeper box. Sometimes I miss that old truck.

Drove an old B Mack Dump truck for a while with a 4 and a 5, it was a blast after I got it figured out....Loved it when the Brownie would stick, especially when it stuck in 4th, and with a load on, better just get out and whack it with a piece of rebar that was in the cab just for the purpose!
