truck will not be reliable or fuel efficient at 400hp ,I have a couple and just by plugging the wastegate line has helped ,as soon as you start turning up the pump they will smoke and get harder on fuel, running easy doesn't make much difference when you are moving alot of weight around but they can be turned up the same way as a normal p pump and will turn 2700 rpm and not cause much problems

have not seen any 350 hp models but my guess would be injectors, timing and turbo size you can get bigger injectors ,aftermarket and larger turbo's but i have not tried anything to boost my power due to the cost of fuel my trucks haul gravel and asphalt and at the way our rates are we need the best fuel mileage we can get

You can get your original injectors honed. The biggest OEM injector for a 530 is discontinued, so you can only get the replacement 300hp 530 injectors. Highest rating on the mechanical 530 is 330hp.
Great start is to do the free mods. Slide the fuel plate forward, and advance the timing a few degrees, then see how you like it.

I can't sign on as a different user, but I will get you in the right direction.
A customer of mine wanted to make a monster DT466(1995 also). To keep everything under one roof, the only place I could recommend is Industrial Injection. They did the pump, injectors, and turbos. He was setting up for 500-550hp for a toy hauler. The pumps in the 408,466,530 are a bit small, and Industrial has a great recipe for anything over 300hp.
