The Autocar engine and transmission are out,,but Rich hit a snag. The 8.3 's starter hits the manual steering box,which was on the inside of the frame. There was no way to make it fit.
We discussed it,and Rich said he could install a power steering box on the outside of the frame. I told him go ahead. Should make turing the 12.00X24's easier....
The I was worried firewall clearance would be a problem, but there turned out to be about an inch between the fire wall and the head.
