WHat's the difference between the filter you use and say a K&N that's cleanable and rechargable. Is yours basically the same or does it need replaced ever so often?

Hot air = less dense, higher EGTs. Are you going to manufacture a heat shield for those filters in the near future?

actually on NA vehicles it makes a difference. we have done testing on boosted vehicles, and because of it pressurizing the cylinders there was a very negligable difference in power made, and negligable difference in EGT's. I also hauled a loaded trailer cross country and never once had an issue with EGT's nor heat soak.

either way, no i am not planning on a shield. it would be more money added to the cost, which would drive it out of the affordability market and into big manufacturer territory. I dont make these for profit. I am full time active duty army, doing this on the side to help fellow diesel guys have an attractive affordable intake.

Any increased mileage noted with this setup on a stock 7.3?

Nothing documented, but I wouldn't see why, IF you keep your foot out of the throttle, since you hear the turbo a lot better, and it sounds so good LOL
