A set screw would involve me drilling a hole in the spline of the shifter to hold it in there right? I like that idea, sounds like it would be a lot more permanent. Maybe thread the hole going into the shift and put something like 3-5 screws around it.....it aint going nowhere

As far as I know, the guys who I've made knobs for never driller into the shifter rod, they just tightened the set screw down. The first ones I made were back in June 2010, and nothing was reported back to me about the knobs coming loose, the only issue was in the summer they got hot and winter they were cold.

I went with a single set screw, so the owner can face the set screw toward the dash so you can't see the set screw and take away from the shape of the knob.

To each thier own.

Here's some more custom info for all you.

On the 6.0 powerstroke with the plastic "T" handle oil dipsticks. Over time the handle can break, leaving the owner to buy a new dipstick for around $20 at the dealer. I have yet to see an aftermarket company come out with a replacement.

So in the past I've made new dipstick handles to replace the factory plastic handle and adds "bling" to the engine bay. Also made oil fill caps to match.

I am currently looking into alternative methods of putting the logo in the top (etching) However I work full time and go to school almost full time therefore I am not making much progress on that part of it... So I cannot offer the Cummins logo at this time.

I can offer you any of the other ones you see or any other custom one you would like. Just sketch me something up and I will see what I can do for you.

Can you do something in a pistol grip or even a t handle design? It would require a set screw just like you'd previously mentioned as I have a zf5. Just pm me when ya get a free moment if ya can

Hi guys,

I have been out of town for a bit so I will respond to all PMs here in a bit.

I have not had the time to look into laser etching.. Got so much going on with school and work... Might look into that a bit more in August when I graduate...

I am still making the shift knobs though... so please feel free to send me a request.

Have any other designs that's not pictured? Good work man.

These are just the ones that I have drawn up and or made for cusomters. I have several more ideas floating around in my head that I just haven't drawn up and posted up here. I have had several requests for a longer round shift knob sort of like a pistol grip... I will get that posted up soon...

If you have any ideas for what you are looking for just sketch me something up and send it to me I will see what I can do...:rocking:
