I just went thru this whole problem with Recon headlights and an H1 projector bulb.
I was really disheartened to find out the same thing-that the H1 bulb is too long to fit into the housing.

sorry for the really late reply, but my spyders look great!! BUT SUCK A$$ as night granted I got not the greatest HID's even though there bright as hell those lights do not project worth a darn. I would now honestly spend the money and get recon who actually make a there HALO's work with HID's than go the cheap route like I did.

How exactly did Recon make theirs work with HID's? It's still not an HID projector.

BTW, recon's quality is some of the worst I've seen. I have some of their lighting on my truck. Including cab lights (which have moisture in them), their mirror side lights (which have horrible alignment, and whistle at high speeds), and their interior lights (which seemed to have a mind of their own for the first few months of ownership).

I've heard of single LED bulbs burning out in their tail lights and they will not warranty them.

Well since they give you an option on there website for the lights to come with HID's, I just assumed they worked better. I love the look of my spyders but the visibility is just horrible. I drive with my brights on and no one even seems to notice, my buddy had the same cheap HID's I have in his stock housing and they where 10x brighter. Im just going to back to stock head lights because I cant stand the not being able to see at night.

I don't think that HID lights would burn up the lights, because I am also using HID lights from 2 years. And I don't have any problem like this.

just put a set of spyders in my 00 ram. they look great but when u ajust them so there is no gap the lights point at the ground. when i adjust them so the lights pattern is right there is a 1 inck gap at the fender:argh:
