I have an 08 dodge with the infinity sound system and blow speakers all the time does anybody else have this problem.
Also does the head unit out of the 2011 fit into the 08.

 

My '04 has the Infinity System. I haven't blown any of the speakers as of yet, but I don't push it too much anymore either (I hate distortion and the factory stuff doesn't like the bass to well), knowing it's limitations. However I have heard the factory Infinity system hooked to an amp (not sure the size or watts, etc), that also had custom sub / speaker enclosure.... It absolutely rocked. The extra power from the amp, plus I think it had "bass blockers" to the factory stuff. I was told many years ago that too much power to speakers is not as damaging as too little. Seemed to work for me back in the day when you could get a massage while sitting in my truck.

 

My stock indash nav/radio screen took a crap on me. I wasn't ever really a huge fan of the sound system. My 96 ram had infinity and it sounded way better than then one that came in this truck.
