Default stereo dash kit for inifinty system

Ok, I have searched google for hours so maybe I'm an idiot - I cannot find a stereo dash kit for my 2nd gen 24v. It has the stock infinity h/u but the cd player is crap - can't detect ANY cd whether bought or burned. This is the h/u that has cd/radio/cassette which I believe is a double DIN?

So I want to replace it with just a single DIN cd/mp3/ipod/usb and what-not. I'd prefer a pocket but at this point it doesn't matter.

And I've also found that some people on here have ripped out the whole system - speakers, wiring, amps the works. I intend to replace the stock door, dash, and a pillar speakers eventually and also add 2 12" infinity subs. My question is can I just replace the h/u and speakers and just leave the wiring and amp that goes with the infinity system alone?

Thanks everyone...

Yes, you pretty much can. The speakers in the front doors have amps attached to them, and they power the fronts and rears. I put amp'ed speakers in my doors, and simply removed the speakers, but left the amps zip ties in the doors so the rears would still work.

Thats exactly what I just did. I put Polk 6x9 in the front and 6.5 polks in the rear just cut the plastic molding to get the amp off speaker and zip tied them to the speaker like stock mounting position and installed them. By the way I hate taking them door panels off what a pain. I finished them off with a Kenwood Deck. I ran all my wiring for my amp just waiting for a better setup for subs. I dont think this setup sounds good sounds weak to me. I might just rewire it I think these preamps are interfering. You can mount ur subs behind rear seat but you wont be able to fold it up. Ive seen the downfiring 10's box but I have 12's so Im just gonna have to fork over some dough I think.

Heres a JL Audio Solution. Its a preloaded box with JL 10's sorta pricey though.

I have the same Infinity system in my truck and would like to connect an Ipod. Hate the FM converters. Is there a way to connect to the system directly?

Well It depend if you have the Infinity Head Unit. If you dont just disconnect the preamps which are on all speakers regardless of head unit. Buy your own Ipod ready headunit and install wire new speakers with the preamps.
