couple of system questions
Ok first for a head unit. Im looking for a good head uint for my truck that is sat. ready and preferbly with a large screen.
Second does anyone make a box to fit two 12 kickers comps under the back seat in a 2000.
If not has any built a box like that and if so how did you make it and did you raise the seat any?

assume you are wanting a dual din head unit.
take a look at kenwood or pioneer... also might be able to find some good deals on craigslist.
sub box?
i googled and found this:
Dodge Truck Sub Boxes
you might be a little short on airspace for two 12s back there.

When you are looking for sat ready double check when you get it. Their are 2 sat ready versions basically... Most radios are sat ready if you buy the additional sat radio box that goes with it. Then their are other versions that actually have the sat radio build into the unit like the new factory car radios... Just watch what your getting. If you go with a alpine unit they make 2 additional sat addon boxes. One that you just hook up and get activated, and the other you can take a sat unit like the sportster 5 and plug it into the unit and just toss it all n you glove box and controll it by teh head unit..

I have a kenwood dnx8120 head unit, it is absolutely incredible. Large touch sceen, sirius or xm able (think nav is an add on) it will play any CD or DVD format, has a remote usb and ipod connect cable in glove box, has a rear back up option which is very clear. It can be set up with two more vid/aud inputs just plug into existing harness hass two vid/aud outs for other sceens in rear. Is sat tv ready. Has bluetooth for hands free phone calls. Comes with multi zone so rear dvd watchers can head phone while front listens to any other opton they choose, also accepts all camera cards and will display photos
Sure I have left something out, I'd close with saying it's garman nav is the best set up I have ever used. PM if you want some pics or want to ask any questions

Pioneer makes a din and a half, not sure if anyone else does... They usually have all the gadgets you could want and more built in... As far as the box, you have a couple options... Some folks make just boxes to fit your truck, others make boxes that fit their speakers that fit your truck... As far as sound quality, your best bet is to buy the box and sub as one item... With two seperate companies making box and speaker, you are mixing and matching the box specs with the speaker specs and hoping you can get close numbers... For symplicity and best sound, stick with box and speaker combos... On a budget, buying the box and filling it with your own speaker is the better choice, you will just suffer slightly on the sound quality (and/or wattage/frequency range rate(s))...
