I have a kenwood CD player in the truck i just bought. i had to reset the ecm and when i did it it reset the cd playerand now i dont have a radio. i called the dealership that i bought it from but the people that it was traded from did not have the code either. i'm hoping that somebody knows something i can do because i'm going crazy without my radio. oh and the closest people that can unlock it are by dallas and i'm by amarillo. and i'd rather not have to send it in.

 

pull the radio out. you may have been lucky and the installer wrote it on the unit. If not while you have it out get the serial # and all the info off it and call kenwood.

 

i hope so i called kenwood and told them i was from a dealership and hey said i'd still have to send it in and it pissed me off

How do they check ownership?

That means every thief can send in a stolen unit and have it reactivated.
Thank god, I don't have a Kenwood...

 

it's model number KDC-MP232 PM me for the serial number and all that.

 

if i remember right on my Kenwood unit the default was either 0000, 9999, 1111, or 1234. have you tried those

 

ya i've tried all of those and noe of them worked. i wish there was some kind of master reset in it

Thanx ehaze they gave me a number to a place in amarillo that would unlock it. i'm happy to actually have my radio back it's pretty nice hearing my music again .
