Default Head unit with Sirius Sat Radio?

My wife has the stock head unit in her 04 Cummins. I want to get her an aftermarket for Christmas that has Sirius so she can listen to the Playboy channel. Are there any head units that have everything I need included in the unit itself or do I have to buy the modulator kit for it as well? Thanks

I believe you have to buy the little deal that tucks in under the dash and then plugs into the back of your radio..kinda like how the cars that come with Sirius from the factory...

I have two plug and play units. That way they can switch between vehicles. They are older models (sportster), but they work good. I believe Sirius has a whole new model line, from when I bought mine 4 years ago.

I just looked. They don't even make mine anymore..

This is the closest to what I'm using.
Sportster 5 Dock & Play Radio + Vehicle Kit - Shop Sirius Satellite Radio

Add an antenna and your golden. I have it set to broadcast over 88.9 fm. That station had little to no static (in my area).

She has an older style XM radio similar to that in the truck now. I wanted to get her a head unit that has SIRIUS, and also allows here to plug her ipod in. It looks like I'll have to get the head unit and the adapter box for under the dash.

go with one of the new alpine units. They have a cheep addon that alows you to hook up your existing xm radio and toss it in teh glove box and controll it from the head unit

All head units take an addon box. Its the companies way of making more off you. Thats why they say Sirius ready.

Yes but not all of them alow you to use your existing sat radio. Most require you to purchase their addon box and that requires another subscription. I would vrather use my existing and be able to controll it on the screen instead of buying a whole new unit
