im goin to buy a second gen and have a touch screen dvd player to put in it but its not the flip screen type its the big one that is just a screen ...wonderin if anyone has put one of these in a 97 and if it was hard to do ..thank you

 

Not hard but not lots of room though. All the ones I've seen the keep the stock dash are mounted in the little cubby to the right of the OEM deck. Gets in the way some and can be a little annoying at times. Folding decks are better.

 

I saw one done on another Dodge (it was a gasser) forum. The guy bought a junk yard bezel for the dash and carved it up to fit the big screen. I wouldn't say it was easy, but you can do it. I tried to find the old postings to show you but couldn't, sorry. Good luck and post some pics when done.

 

My buddy had a hell of a time making his work. i asked about pics from the install. but he didnt take any and he got rid of the truck

 

thanks guys the truck i ended up buyin had a pioneer flip out so im just gonna use that for now
