Default Any Motorola/Nextel Installers?

I bought a car kit and cradle for my I335 and am having a problem with it. If it gets warm at all, it doesn't seem to work. It hits 100+ for 6-8 hours a day during the summer so if this continues it's going to be a major issue. Anyone have any problems with these things not wanting to work in this high heat? I would think they should be fine but?????

The other question I have is in regards to the junction box. The green wire is shown as needing to go to an ignition switch supply point. This is a positive 12v when the key is on correct? I just want to make sure before I hook it up and send +12v into a wire that is supposed to be a ground especially when there is no fuse on that line. The other question is...is it necessary? Right now I have the main power wire hooked into a 12v feed that is only hot when the truck is in acc or run instead of a constant 12v. I tried to fire it up and see if it would work and it appeared to work fine. Again, it only appears to work if the box is cold. If it sits in the truck for any amount of time and heat up, then it quits working.

Am I just getting lucky with it working without the green wire hooked up, or is it a heat issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, guess I was just getting lucky the first time. Hooked up the power lead to a constant full time power source and the green wire to the ignition in run position only circuit. Everything works great, even when hot.....Guess it helps to follow the directions LOL....
