Default Help with LED lighting purchase

I have a website that i would like anyone who is willing to help to look at and tell me if they think its a legit place to order from. i am looking to purchase a stupidly bright led light bar but not looking to spend $2,000 to own some expensive name brand one. Im sure after some of you see this link you will want to purchase this light bar also for the damn good price it is offered for hahaha. Please let me know what you think of the link and the light bar and if it would be a bad idea to order from this site.

That one is a toss up man IMO. I would go to ebay myself. At least you have buyer protection over there.

I do agree but for this light on ebay it would be no less then 600 to 700 instead of the 350 on one.

i have tried contacting some companies on Alibaba.com before and have never gotten a response or it took months. i think most of the companies are back east, China, Japan, etc and are only interested in bulk orders. i wouldn't do it unless you where planing on being a resaler.

also the amount of watts, 240, seems like the leds would over heat in such a tight arrangement and not enough surface area if ran for an extended amount of time and not driving. more likely they are using 3 watt leds but not running them at 3 watts. this will make then run much cooler, albeit with lower light output

if you still want it, Ebay is a much better option even with the higher prices

Alright everyone I have contacted this company and they responded within 6 hours, and i also contacted 2 other companys with the same product, all responding very rapidly. All companys are able to sell the light bar singly with out a bulk order. 2 of the 3 companys want 350 for the light bar and 1 company wants 289 with 80 dollar shipping. And 2004 LB7, this light is identical to the nam brand lights, when it comes to appearance, i have been researching on line for days now on these lights and the images. even big brands like rigid ind has the same light with the same amount of leds and same 240w, so this light should perform no diffrent other then the fact that it doesnt have the name on it. I have a strong feeling many companys in the US purchase these lights from these other venders and sell them for 4 times the price in the US, after putting there names on them. These forein vendors dont care what you do with the light after you purchase it so for a company to purchase them and put there name on them and over price them is no big deal at all. If anyone wants to go ahead and look at the images of the light in the link and then compair it to a expensive name brand you would be able to even see a diffrence in anything. not even where all the bolt holes are or the mounting hard wear or the leds and the reflector lense themselves. And for H.R.D. I will let you all know what i decide to do and how it goes for me. I have all 3 companys waiting for my email response, but the one in particular that was offering the light for 289 plus 80 shipping catches my eye because on a recent jeep forum i was looking at allot of the members where purchasing from this company and had good luck. So when i get together the money to purchase it i mostlikely will, but at the moment im a broke college student.

Okay here is the link for the light company i think i will be ordering from because there email back was very responsive with a proper and well put together email unlike the other companys that emailed back and miss spelled many words and spacing was all messed up. But the link is the light bar i am looking at and the better companys email.

Glad to hear they responded quickly. I personally have not been too impressed with using that site. If it is identical to the name brand ones then I am guessing that most if not all derate there LEDs. If anyone has a led light bar would you be able to take some current measurements for us to see if they really are 240 watts?

Duramax07, I am not trying to put you down or anything. The way I see it is that each one of those LEDs requires roughly a 2x2 inch of aluminum surface area to keep them from over heating. Maybe there is a temperature sensing circuit built into these units that will automatically throttle them down when the temps go up.

if everything else goes well, I just might purchase one myself.

Duramax07, see if any of those vendors will give you a breake on a larger purchase. We can arrange a group buy and get a bunch. This will give you time to put your funds together. What do you think?

^I hear what you are saying above, and if you do go to the second link and look at the images, there are "cooling fins" on the back side of the led light, which seam to take up at least half the volume of the light itself, pretty similar to something you would see on a small 4 stroke motor.

I could also email the company and see what sort of deal they would be willing to work on a larger purchase, but i assume most of everyone on here is waiting for me to purchase this and see how everything goes. Me and a budy are thinking about spliting the cost of the light and when we recieve it see how we like it and pay the other one back and buy another or split the losses if we are dissapointed. but when it comes to a light like this that is around 16,000Lumens, thats the equivilent to over 5, 35w HID off road lights. I do also have 55w hids in my low beams and fog lights but would really like some more light to be thrown way out there.

I have some good info now. I have emailed yet another company and they seam to have an amazing product. the 2 vendors I have narrowed it down to seem to both be great choices. I am just waiting on the price from the new vendor I emailed but they did send me a link to there youtube video on how they tested there lights. All you guys gotta take a look at this video link (VERY impressive).
