Default ses issue

I have a 95 1 ton 6.5. I keep having problems with a dtc 35 and 36. It wouldnt bother me so much if it didnt kick the cruise off everytime the light came on.

I have put in a new lp, ops, new pickup in the tank, (thought the old one was plugged) replaced the ip with one that i know is good and not that old, new pmd, and tried a different pmd off a truck that does not trow a code.

I only get the ses light between 1500 and 3000 rpm. I comes on like clockwork. But once in a great while it will stay off for a little bit

Try reseting the codes and some two stroke motor oil start with a 100to 1 ratio (gallons pumped X 128 divided by 100 that number will give you the ounces you will need then go to a 200 to 1 ratio the injector pumps do not like ULSD that they sell nowadays I do this in mine and it works for me

I have never tried the stanadyne fuel treatment mine comes on once in a blue moon still, after ereading you're first post I see that the cruise control kicks off I was told once that a failing IP would cause this,I see its a 1 ton is it a truck or van?

It is a 1 ton pickup. I have been told that any dtc having to do with the fuel system kicks the cruise off

A bad CPS will make the cruise control kick off as well my truck will kick the DTCs 35,36 every now and then without affecting the cruise but ny CPS was going out and after replacing it no more issue with the cruise, also have read that a bad PMD will affect the the cruise

Is there a way to tell if its the cps? I have noticed also that if i sep the pedal down and put a good load on the engine the light will shut off until i back off again to a no-load or low-load.

Is the truck stuttering or occasionally cutting off, having trouble retarting?these are signs that the CPS may be going out, like I said in a earlier post mine will do this on occasion I have less than 10K on my pump so until it fails I will have to live with it I guess

I have had it cut out or shut off occasionally. I doesnt seem like it has as deep of a clatter as other 6.5s. When you say cps are you talking crankshaft or camshaft position sensor? where is it located.

Why will you have to live with it untill it fails?
