Well we are still very dry here in S.W WI. Thought we might get some this morning but nothing. We did have some pretty freaky looking sky though


I really feel for all those people in the path of fires in the rest of the country. Hope everyone is safe.

Todd, It's been raining almost everyday for the last 3 weeks

 

We had these really neat bright orange ones this morning, (4:45am) with a dark purple sky, really cool, it looked like the sky was on fire.

 

No lightening, no thunder, no rain

We haven't had any rain since maybe mid May combined with a lot of wind and high temps have dried us out pretty good. No burn laws are in effect and they now have it that you can not smoke outdoors. I never heard that one before, around here anyways

 

Looks like **** vertical winds in that cloud system..

Those are some strange looking clouds.
I've never heard of the not smoking outdoors thing in WI either, but when it is this dry for this long I suppose even a stray ash is dangerous.

I see this is a couple weeks old. Did you guys get some rain?
We finally got rain a couple days ago. Very welcome, but everything is still dry and brown.
