you wont burn up your truck unless you dog it constantly with a heavy load edge products are designed not to burn up your truck i think yours might have a alarm to warn you when your etgs get two high keep it below 1250 and you'll be fine

there is no way for the computer to know what egt you're at. so with out that, how can the edge be designed not to burn things? any aftermarket performance object designed to push more fuel will create more heat. it might be a little, or alot.

ive read up on edge products they designed their products to automatically to back down when they are at a certain temp you set it at now im not sure if that's for all edge products but a few of them have this feature i keep forgetting not all edge units tell you your etgs my bad haha id recommend getting gauges if you don't have them already

i know on mine you can set up the back down and set up the etg alert and it will scream when you get it up to and over the temp you set. you can buy it for i think around 200 something its been a while since ive done research on edge
