I would put my money on the injectors. When they go bad, they allow too much fuel causing a lot of smoke. What performance mods do you to the injection?

I was thinking the injectors too. but they were new about 50 thousand K ago . Everything on the truck is stock, except the PMD location. I have the old injectors that the previous owner took out. Is it reasonable to have them tested/rebuilt, or better to just replace them?
