posted an ad in wtb and was contacted by a guy on here who parts out trucks.He said he had everything I needed so I sent him a usps money order which he cashed.He seemed to have weather problems,equipment problems or lost my address when ever I talked to him.I sent the money on 12/6/11 and after 4 months with no parts ,I Finished the the truck anyway and ended up selling it.When I did reach him I told him that I wanted my money back since he never sent the parts and he agreed to refund my money although this problem only happened because I sold the truck(my fault)...anyway he has had my money for over 6 months now so what do I do...its not the money...Ive just never been ripped off before..Ive been nice about this all the way but has got me nothing to show for it...thanks

OK...your right...I just vented about this...not used to doing doing business like that and have always paid and shipped promptly...and having said that I still want to give the guy the benefit of doubt so I will just wait and see if he makes it right.A couple of weeks turned into months so time will tell.... don't want to discredit anyone just cant figure out why its gone on this long so please excuse this post...Thanks

6 months is a long time. Call him and have him give you specifics on when he is returning it. If he won't, maybe PM a mod about it before going public with his name, but if he won't refund it, I don't know if there's much more you can do.

 

In situations like this IB cannot help, however if he does not return it.......it is OK to let members know the kind of businessman he is.
The public needs to know if he is scamming folks.

 

In the first post I meant to say that he told me" this problem wouldn't have happened if I hadn't sold the truck" and my only response was that I waited 4 months for the parts and he never sent them...I have to make money too...Just wanted to clarify that point that he shifted the blame to me...Im done and will let this take its course...again Im sorry for my little rant...I shouldn't have brought this up ...thanks Jim

Thanks for your input...I really enjoy this site and find it interesting as well as helpful for the average guy and have found answers to my questions by searching the forums.Thanks again and want to give this a little more time but if nothing happens I will send a PM...

 

You need to make the Username public so others dont get screwed too. You selling the truck has nothing to do with this. You bought some parts and he didnt deliver. End of discussion.

 

Report the this to IC3, & he will be taken care of, by the FEDS
