Im trying to get some ideas on what would be a good turbo to upgrade to from the stock one. Im not too sure on what would be a good size or product line to go with. I don't need anything real fancy or anything, just wanna upgrade to a better turbo and not break the bank.

 

i have a silver bullet 64 from industrial injection and love it. with my mods it spools quickly and runs cool. You need to update your sig so we can see what you have.Assuming a stock truck i would suggest a silver bullet 62. They spool good and depending on what you HP goal is should be plenty sufficent. Ive seen that turbo support mid 700's really well. BD also has a good one if your just planning on staying stock and just want to replace your turbo. Icant remember the name of that one though. those are my recommendations but as soon as we know your goals and mods and what you plan on doing with it then they are subject to change.

 

S364/68/14 best all round turbo for a CR. Spools faster then the silver series because they have 74 turbines. The 68 turbine is plenty in the gated housing. We even use them as top chargers over s480 bottoms with no external gate and drive pressure stays at 1.1:1

We have had some great luck with the Thunder 330 Turbo from Industrial Injection.

 

I was considering the s400 but not sure, still looking around when I actually have the time to do so. I like the sound of the s364, the stock turbo is just too restrictive and want to change it to where I can use it for future mods also if need be.
