Default 1996 powerstroke hpop -part 2

I replaced the lpop oil pump today. Still no oil pressure on guage & the hpop ran out of oil. With the oil that I've filled the hpop, my oil level in the pan is that much overfilled now. Is there a pressure relief that can stick open?

Found the problem today. The threaded plug with the check ball in the timing cover had unscrewed itself & had fallen out. In process of pulling engine out. I have since discovered that this does happen with this model. I bet it has some lock-tight on it when I put it back!

I would lock tite that plug and steak the top of the hole as well, my 1994.5 does not have that relief valve, thankfully. I would use green locktite inho
