t/c lockup switch. bad or good?

Default t/c lockup switch. bad or good?

I was planning on getting a lock up switch on my truck. I wasn't going to use it to smash through the gears but to use it for my overdrive because my t/c unlocks when the turbo spools past 7 lbs. My trans has been good to me so far i just don't like the power loss when it unlocks.

That's very odd that it unlocks at 7psi. It should be locked all the time in O/D, and at higher speeds in 3rd. Installing a switch would be a good way to test to see if the t/c lock up is working or not. Only downfall I see to the lock up switch is not remembering it while slowing down.

well its not like right at 7psi, its just when i give her a good amount of gas like 20% maybe in low rpm and like 30% at like 1700. but i didnt even think about testing it. ill post a video of it unlocking...and also when i press the brake when it is locked in O/D or 3rd gear it unlocks as well could the problems be related?

It is supposed to do that. Pressing the brake will unlock the T/C, it is also a good test.

Well when my T/C unlocks very easily and it is hard to accelerate and ifeel like it damages the T/C when it is unlocked and just spinning to the point where it can without slipping.
