Default Is there a kit or good way to replace fuel line?

I think that biodiesel has eroded my fuel line core and it may collapse during acceleration. the auto parts stores dont carry them & the dealership wants $144 for the fuel line from the tank to the lift pump. Since this isnt a high pressure line can I replace the rubber hose from the tank to the line at lift pump?

I run 1/2 Eaton pushlok hose from the tank to the filtermanager with a raptor 100 lift pump.

So, I'd say yes.

But, you need to put an adapter on the tank lines, you either have to find a way to adapt the lift pump or go aftermarket and you need to modify the filter manager to accept the hose.

Things are probably a little easier if you don't go 1/2", which is overkill on a 6.5 anyways.

Also, any lines you use or fabricate have to be absolutely airtight or you're going to run into "air in fuel" problems.......

MAke sure you use hose that is rated for bio-diesel

Why do you think bio-diesel has eroded that fuel line?

I've been running 11% bio-diesel for 15 years or so and haven't had to replace anything I could directly trace to the use of the biodiesel..

The 1995 Tahoe needs new lines under the intake manifold but I can't point my finger at the biodiesel as the culprit. On the Tahoe It's more like external damage from PB Blaster or other non- plastic/rubber friendly products

i got one from DORMAN for $65, and there is a way to fix temporarily. cut it an inch where it is leaking, get a 3/8 brake/fuel line, and cut it an inch from where its leaking, stick the steel in and it is pre flared so your good to go!

like this:

(hose from tank) (2 clamps) (steel line) (flare)

sounds confusing but it works

I think it is a collapsed inner lining as it is a new lift pump & it will start out pumping good then like an old straw it wont get suction it seems. the pump starts well then trickles. just put it on the day before.
