I bought a 1955 f250 with a powerstroke in it it has 225000 on it. I have a 5.9 to go in it and was interested to see what this running engine would be worth. Maybe I can get enough to buy the adapters for the cummins. I figure if it is not worth much I will Just run it till it gives me trouble

Around here you can find them ranging from 500-3500. Any over 1600 usually have less than 100K on them.

in my area, you cant find a running one for less than 2500. Houston people have an inflated sense of value that they put on their stuff. Ive seen trashed OBS powerstrokes (engine not running and body banged up) have an asking price of $3500. No joke.

 

i did partial trade for labor on a short block for 300 bucks. and that was with out knowing the condition of it.
