I bought a Nv5600 out of a 2004. It was a government truck with only 30k on it. The problem is, is that it was in a fire, so the shifter had melted down into the transmission. Its a cast iron case so I know the heat didn't hurt that, and everything else looks fine, and it still spins. I would plan on replacing all bearing and seals for sure, but would the syncros be ok? I don't know if those could have been effected and if I should replace those as well?

Also, does anyone know what the difference is between the full rebuild kits for the Nv5600 on "Quad4x4", "PurePowerDiesel" or a "Mopar" kit? Is one more reliable of built stronger than the other? Because Price difference is kind of big between those 3..
