Default ? headgasket or leave it alone ??

Hey y'all, look at my pics, I have a 87 F-250 7.3 IDI ... need some realistic input .... my passenger side head gasket is seeping ... should I re-torque the head ?? or would it be ok to just replace 1 at a time w/ studs.. as I would like to upgrade to a turbo.....
also my engine is a California emission model.... what kind of comp. ratio do u think i have and how much boost could i go with "MaxedOut" I have heard as high as 15 psi.... was thinking 12 topped out...... also do they make multi-layer metal head gaskets or copper embossed style head gaskets ???? want to build it up .... one step at a time..low on money at this moment..HELP....

John, i would retorque the head first to see if the leak will stop.
If you wanted to upgrade the headgasket later you could, and put in head studs at the same time.
You don't have to do it all at once, take your time and have fun to.
I would take care of the other stuff first before you dive into a turbo.
But thats just me.

id agree with 97cummins. im running into problem after problem with fabing up my turbo beings i did not buy a kit. if you want more compression you can put 6.9 heads on your 7.3 to bump the comp up. you will need to get the head bolt holes bored to 1/2 inch instead of 7/16 tho. build motor up first. then put turbo on. although ive seen weeping head gaskets take 18psi at 13,000 egts pullin a 30 ft gooseneck at 90 up interstate 80. and that motor didnt even have head studs. probly just luck
