Hi all i have a 1992 6.2 non turbo chevy truck which is an 165 hp ex army vin number 1gbgc24j3pe155275 im really struggling to find whats the matter with it it starts fine but when driving it its really down on power, some time there seem to have extra power without moving the throttle then starts to run uneven and nearly cuts out or does cut out and stalls alot aswell , but starts up straight away. Has anyone had the same trouble or can any one HELP

whats it have for miles?
injectors could be bad
could be the sock in the tank
leaking fuel lines
bad fuel pump


need to do a little diag. to help you out a little more

The truck has only 44000 miles.
No fuel leaks etc.
There is no lift pump on the o/s/f on the block as it has a blank plate.
There is a small electric pump which has two wires in the C section of the chassis near the tank.
I do not know want a sock in the tank is, please can someone tell me

 

its pretty much the a filter on the end f the sending unit so it doesnt suck in crap.
