Default Good truck?

I am looking at buying my first truck, the truck is completely perfect for me in everyway. my dad doesn't think it is worth it though becuase it is a 1999 3500 Dodge Cummins dually 24v 5.9L. it has somethings done to it like under glow, glow in the grill, and a super chip. i think the truck is great because i love green which is the color of the under glow and grill and i am looking to know any pros or cons on the actual engine i know quite a bit about it already but am just looking for other point to convince my dad that this truck isn't just for play. anything helps!

I would pull the intake horn and check the turbo for shaft play. Look underneath for general leaks (rear main, front/rear pinions, t-case, trans, axles). Since you are from WI, like me, you know that the salt kills these trucks so check for the general rusting. Sounds like a good price though.
