I have looked on a bunch of forums and threads but i just want to be clear cuz this is my dd. i have a 85 F250 4x4 eclb with a c6 and the tranny is bad. i can get a zf5/t-case out of a 96 psd with clutch and flywheel so im wondering if the clutch and flywheel will work, i can get the pedals and slave cylinder from the junk yard thanks in advance.

 

i know the clutch and fly wheel definatly wont work and im pretty sure the transmission wont either . you need the flywheel and clutch for your motor and you need a transmission from a 94 down idi

 

6.9 and 7.3 are the same so it should work i don't know why it wouldnt

 

he's talking about a power stroke 7.3 the flywheel and clutch wont interchange with either 7.3 or 6.9 idi. and the 6.9 and 7.3 idi flywheels don't interchange because they are balanced different, so you'd need a fly wheel from the same motor. on the transmission i'm not a 100% of interchangeability i know when i was looking for a zf for my idi the computer at work said i needed one from either a 6.9 or 7.3 idi
