6.2 high idle switch
There should be a high idle solenoid mounted next to the injection pump, around the throttle cable. You'll know it when you see it. With a continuity tester, find out which wire is ground, this will tell you that the other is positive. Tap into that wire, then run a new piece to the switch, then come off a switched part on the fuse panel for supply. When you flip the switch, may have to push the accelerator pedal down. If nothing happens, you may have a faulty solenoid.

Yup, that's the one, I put 12 v direct to it, and it clicks but doesn't move, even without the accelerator against it, I figured it would 'pop' out without the resistance against it. I thought maybe this meant the solenoid was bad?
