Default Bad Lope at idle

My uncle has an 05 duramax and in any gear (P R N D) and it really lopes bad, rpm's will go below 400 and it has dies a few times. Has a Edge Juice w/attitude but it will lope with it plugged in or not. The truck has been to the shop a few times and they always tell him there something wrong with the chip. he started to leave the chip unplugged and after a month it started to happen again. Took it to a different shop and they tell him it's fixed and then a month later it happens again! I'm pretty sure the chip is good. Runs great with it on EGT's are low and no problems. I don't know a thing about duramax just a old school 7.3 guy. Any help is greatly appreciated because he is Fed Up with the Bull Crap

its in percentage, should be close to actual fuel rail press. like 32mpa and 30-32%, those arent exact numbers but should be close. fuel press. reg. on dmax is same part as fca on dodge. Usually they stick from burrs or galling internally. Its mounted on the cp3 pump.

Default 2005 clanking no smoke and runs good

I have an 05 base model work truck and it seem to run fine only it makes a loud clanking noise(like a powerstroke) when at low throttle. Seems to go away when i add more throttle and the turbo engages. The rpm gage doesn't seem to bounce. I have recently replaced the #2 injector plug when that went out. Would this possibly be caused by bad fuel or maybe the #7 injector plug? Last night i had the guy at o'reilly auto check for codes and it came up clean. Does anyone have any ideas one what this could be? I am trying to keep it out of the shop if i can.
