Default turbo question

New guy here looked thru the different threads and didn't want to hijack any so here goes ..have a Cummings 07 06.7 w/152000... turbo is on the way out I am looking into a stock replacement or maybe the vgt hybrid, have had two stock replacements since it was new and really don't want to keep replacing them every 50-60 thousand miles, which leads me to the next question by going this route do I need a programmer the h&S maxx series best choice or another ????
How tough is the swap out.... on my other turbo replacements it was warranty so left it to the dealer...
Can I do some improvements with out breaking the bank....Any input would be great

My suggestion is dump the vgt and get a silver bullet

go with twins and keep air brake, I added a banks cooler, but my egts dropped enough with the twins that I could of skipped the banks. Depending on the single turbo upgrade, you might be looking for a inter cooler soon too. To each there own, once you get started, its hard to stop!

No G in Cummins and I would also get twin turbos it will keep your egts lower than a big single turbo and a upgraded intercooler.
