Default 1990 build update

last weekend i final ly got the install finished. i put in a 1500 stall full race converter with red cluthes and kolene steels and a full manual reverse pattern race valve body. i am glad to say ill never own another normal valve body auto. i love my trans beccause it will do exactly what i tell it to do, also in first gear it will coast in nuetral when you let off the throttle which is very nice. it has nice consistant fast shifts and if someone upsets me i leave it in third at the stop and give it 1/4 throttle real quick and smoke them out so they back off. the converter is amazing, the truck really hauls and with the 4.10 gears it gets up to speed extremely quick with barely any throttle input. i have not installed a tach yet but stall speed is about 3psi because from 3-4 psi is a 15 mph jump with very minimal rpm increase. the egts are down 100-200 degrees when cruising and boost easily goes past 40 (i let off at 40 psi which is like 9/16 throttle) i dont want to blow a turbo or a head gasket. the rpms actually drop when you shift gears. its just more than day and night difference and well worth the money. the mpg increase has to be crazy because on the same trip i normally take to my girls house it takes a 1/4 tank but this time it was only a 1/8 tank and my injection pump is leaking (head screw came loose and fell out) that is crazy. i cant wait to put in a 47 r? trans with a overdrive and lockup. once again i love my truck.
