I am new to diesels and I have a question about the glow plug relay. I am not geting any juice to my glow plugs so I tried to test my glow plug relay. I used a test light and got power to the large incoming power lead and not the outgoing to the plugs. so obveously i need to replace the relay. My question is why doesn't it activate my plugs when I arc accross the two large leads with a screwdriver. It doesn't spark or anything. I was wondering if that is because the plugs themselves are bad too. I would really be thankful for any info you could give me. O yea It is a 95 ford powerstoke.

 

It should throw some power when you jump the relay...

 

just because it doesn't spark, doesn't mean it's not sending power. if you went from the hot post to the block it would spark...

 

So i also don't have any power to the two small leads either. Does this just mean that my gpr is really bad or do i have something else going on
