hey guys im looking at a 88 freightshaker the guy says it has a 315 cummins in it. Can yall enlighten me on the pros and cons of this engine.


The truck is a single axle w/a 9 speed and wet kit. If i do get it i will strech it make it a twin screw and it will mainly be used to pull hay, equpiment and also possible grain and cotton seed/burrs

 

Probably an L-10, good solid motor it's just not a big power house. If you're gonna haul hay you might want to look for something with a little more HORSEPOWER! remember there is no replacement for displacement.

 

Find somethin with an N14. Then you'll have POWER!! LOL

 

 

Well this would be a cheap truck to start with to save wear and tear on my one tons but when I have the money it's gonna be a 359 or 379xhd or a w900 with a 3406 cat
