I was looking at a boost fooler and it says the wastegate will need to be modified in order to get more boost out of a he341 equipped 03-04 truck. Can someone tell me the procedure? You don't plug the wastegate do you? Do I even need a boost fooler or is it just to cover up codes in the dash?

 

The computer will defuel at a set boost level. The boost fooler just interrupts that signal so that the computer keeps fueling. If your truck is 100% stock, you might want some sort of fueling modification or else the extra boost wont do much for ya

 

It is something I want to do when I add a smarty s06 pod. Will this add enough fuel? or we talking injectors?

 

The Smarty will take care of over boost codes until 45 psi. To get more boost you need to either crimp the WG boost reference hose or add a boost fooler to it. Adjust the set screw in on the boost fooler to raise boost.

 

So if I clamp the reference hose it would be "plugged" right? But if i get boost fooler i can control the waste gate?

 

Sorry, wrong term. Boost elbow. Yes, with a boost elbow you can control the max boost before the WG opens.

 

I have a 03 cummins with a Edge Juice w/attitude and was wondering do i need a boost fooler or with me setting max boost to 35psi on programer allow more?
