Default Is a 16cm exhaust housing worth the upgrade from 21cm?

My 1991.5 isn't low on power but it could use a tad bit quicker spooling on the turbo. The engine and fueling are stock and will likely remain that way. So would it be worth going from 21cm to 16cm or should I just bite the bullet and go 12cm? I don't tow often but usually have a full and heavy bed. I can take it a bit easier on the engine if its hot out and I have a heavy load. I know the 2006 5.9 cummins have 9cm exhaust housings so I would guess my 12cm wouldn't get too hot for the engine to handle - plus I have an intercooler. Thoughts?

I'd personally go with the 16.

The newer trucks with small housing have great wastegates and better technology.

I would run the 16 if you tow alot just for the fact that it will flow better in the top end.

If I hardly ever tow would 12 be better? Couldn't I just take it easy on her if I tow a load? Every bus or truck I hear has a screaming turbo off idle so I can't imagine even towing with a 12 and going hard on it would make any difference.

World of diffrence IMO between just the 18cm and the 16cm so the 21cm vs 16cm should be night and day. I say do it and look into the 60mm upgrade since you'll have everything apart anyway.

I liked the 16 so much I went right on down to the 12.

I'll sell you the 16 if you make me a reasonable offer....

How would the 60mm upgrade and 12 cm housing compare to just upgrading to a HX35 / 12 cm housing?

What does the 60mm upgrade mean to me?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Or would this turbo with a 12cm exhaust housing be better on a bone stock fuel setting truck?

IMO, that PDR HX35 is a waste of money. Go for the S300 if you're going to spend the cash for a new turbo. Stock HX35 is a 56mm impeller. I'd like to know what size impeller the PDR HX35 has. Definitely a waste if it's not at least a 60mm wheel. Best way to go is just upgrade the H1C, unless you have the cash for an S300.

So would 60mm spool quick and make better power or what exactly does 60mm mean to me? I dont have the money for an S300 and I don't think its necessary for my stock truck. At the moment I am between 16cm and 12cm (I guess 14 could be a happy medium) and whether or not to get the 60mm wheel (not sure what that means).
