Anyone with the independent front axle put a lift on? I installed a 4 inch suspension lift on mine and the tires are angled in. I would like to know how to straighten the axle out. It looks like something to do with the drag link and tie rod ends? any help would be appreciated.

 

tops of the tires are bowed in? your camber is off. needs to be alighed.

 

The tires look like this..... \ / not that drastic, but they are bowed in. I put everything on correctly. It just seems that the drag link and tie rod ends are really pulling the tires inward. What it looks like I need to do, is get an extension from the drag link to the drivers side inner tie rod end.

Thats what happens to these trucks with the TTB front end when you lift them. I am in the middle of installing poly bushings and extra leafs in the front of my 93. If you installed a complete kit with pivot arm drop brackets, you just need to get it aligned. Even a lift as small as mine makes a very noticeable difference in the wheel angle before it's aligned.

 

yeah. What I ended up doing is getting adjustable ball joints. I actually had to take a leaf out of the springs Rough Country sent me.

 

yep. thats how they set the camber. change the "bushing" on the top balljoint to make it adjustable.

 

Would the same apply when using Sky Mfg. reverse shackle kit?

 

no, you have a solid axle. his is the TTB front end.
