Hey Im just wondering if anyone knows any tricks to gain power without having to cough up some change?

Tweak the pump.
Turning up the pre 94 Ram diesel injector pump

Ok I have a 92 Cummins and The guy I bought it from took it to scheid and they turned it up have a htt stage 4 turbo with a 4" down but it runs hot..kno anything about that?

Not getting enough air if it is running hot on EGTs.

Turbo has soot on the top of it maybe a boost leak??
And is 1300 to 1500 hot enough to melt it down..I had a guy tell me he hits 2000 pretty often..

It won't be a boost leak if it has soot, that would be the exhaust side.

I don't go over 1300 in my pickup. There are a lot of people who hit 1600 and have had no problems.

Here is a link to a thread which shows you how to build a boost tester. Build one and test for leaks if that checks out you may need a larger turbo.

Hey thanks for the advice..but the turbo that's on it is pretty big it's a 62/71/14 but it's discontinued so yeah I'd say it's time for a new one
