is there a way to fool the ecu?
Is there a way to fool the ecu so you dont have the cold motor settings where it wont let all the power of the motor until its to opperating temp? Dodge with the edge can do it but i am not able to do it with my duramax
Well its not to rod on it. It basically has about half throttle until its warmed up so just normal driving and merging can be hard sometimes when u need to go and u cant get up to speed
EFI Live would be the way to go as cummin_un_glued said. [B0729 Max Injected Fuel Quantity (cold)] is the one to adjust. still not recommended though. keep it safe if you do.
mine has been raised. i am light on the throttle until the engine warms up. it is always nice to know that if you are in an emergency situation and need to get out of the way fast, or some other situation that requires this need for more power you have it.
you can probably do this by adding resisters to the coolant temperature sensor if it is not digital. this would of course mess up all of the compensator tables in the EMC program. so not recommended ether.
Best of luck
