Default New with some questions.

I just joined this site today hoping i could get some good info on a few questions i have. The first questions is im trying to get rid of my 97 Dodge Ram 2500 12 valve cummins and im looking to get either a 2003 or 2006 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Cummins. Im just wondering what are the things to look out for on the 03 and 06 cummins. I know quite a bit about about the 12 valves but im new to the 24 valve world? Thanks!

Hmmm. Electronics are awesome. These lift pumps suck, or lack there of, stay on top of tranny fluid changes with the 48re. It's temperamental. Nice one min then a grouchy (insert irritable word) the next.

front axle with the 4x4s are a lil weaker parts cost a lil more cause they newer but they easier to find and for most people easier to work on

Yea, i went to a dealership this weekend and found the truch i want. Its a compeltely stock 06 Dodge Ram 2500 QC/LB. Its pushing around 133k miles which is only a third of what i had on my 12 valve but the 12 valve was starting to need a lift pump, injection pump and possibly new injectors she was stalling out a lot and had to just about keep the pedle to the floor in revearse so i traded her in and got the 06! Now what to do first..... Im think gauges, a AirDog 150 and head studs before i start messing with anything else.

Gauges and lift pump are two of the most important things you can do to these, next is transmission work! It depends on how much power you want to make if you will need to do head studs or not...
