Thanks for a great forum. I am really enjoying it. I'd like to get a stock diesel pick up. I don't want to modify it, just enjoy it. I don't have a lot of financial resources so I'll be sticking with something a little older.

What are you're recommendations for a stock-but-well-maintained diesel? I will not tow, haul, and just make runs down to the farm about 50 miles each way. In other words, it will be my toy.

cummins easy to work on plus its nice to open the hood and actually see the whole engine

 

the cummins is great and to get mild power up grades are just hands on and easy so have fun with whatever u choose i had the same plan now i have more parts on the way only 1k for them so not too bad haha

I enjoy my 95 Powerstroke. Not cheap to build power but reliable and long lasting.

Cummins makes a hell of a motor, it's just a shame they wrapped the motor with a Dodge...

 

Cummins is amazing, i love mine, never had any problems either, but if you want an awesome stock truck. 06-07 LBZ duramax, those trucks can scream at the stock level.
