i just bought a 1988 7.3L with hopes of turning it into a respectable machine. its an older tuck with minor issues. i was wander if anybody would have any advice on what should be my first step towards performance. thanks

Really the only upgrade you can do on the IDI's is a turbo, and put in injectors from a turbo'd 7.3 IDI. Itll add a little power, but its never going to be crazy fast.

 

ive been inquiring bout turbo's, do u have any recomendations?

 

I have the Banks setup, but from what I've heard the folks that supplied Ford with turbos for the 93/94 models made a pretty good one. The hilbilly mud runers around here put bigass injectors in.
